Professional Development
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college/university.
- There is no minimum GPA requirement, but must be in good academic standing
- Must be available to conduct work/research FT during the course of the 10-week program
- At least 18 years of age by the start of the program
- Provide students with experience in the identification, design, and implementation of an autonomous and interdisciplinary STEM research project in AI
- Understand and engage in ethical and responsible conduct in research
- Practice effectively summarizing and sharing research findings
- Identify individual strengths and strategies for working collaboratively
- Establish healthy mentoring relationships with faculty and graduate mentors
- Develop and grow professional social media network and communication skills
- Synthesize and present research discovery at a collaborative research symposium that includes an audience of peers, graduate students, research scientists, faculty, and industry professionals
- Articulate lessons learned through participation in the REU experience
