CIRAS: Artificial Intelligence Power Sessions: Hands-On Learning for Experienced Users

Whether you’re looking to develop AI-driven tools, automate workflows, or explore cutting-edge applications, this day offers customizable, hands-on learning opportunities tailored to different skill levels.

Choose Your Learning Path:

1. Full-Day Intensive Courses (Specialized Micro-Credentials) – Earn a Certification

These in-depth training sessions provide structured, hands-on instruction from Iowa State University’s Translational Artificial Intelligence Center (ISU TrAC) and include a micro-credential certification. Each course lasts the entire day (morning and afternoon) and includes lunch and networking opportunities.

  • Mastering PyTorch for Deep Learning – $499
    • PyTorch is a leading framework for building, training, and fine-tuning AI models. Whether you’re working with deep learning (DL) or large language models (LLMs), PyTorch helps turn concepts into functional AI solutions.
    • Ideal for those looking to train AI models, improve performance, or customize existing machine learning systems.
    • Prior Python knowledge is helpful; interest in learning to program would be necessary.
  • Developing Your Own AI Agents – $399
    • AI agents are autonomous systems interacting with AI models, automation tools, and data streams to perform complex tasks. This course will guide you through creating intelligent AI agents that integrate with machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and LLMs.
    • Designed for AI users who are already comfortable with LLMs and want to build custom AI-powered workflows with a mix of Python-based low-code tools.

Note: These two courses require a full-day commitment, and attendees will stay in the same course for both morning and afternoon sessions.

2. AI Skills Builder Sessions – $199

For those looking to expand their AI knowledge without committing to an all-day technical deep dive, these four-hour sessions allow you to select one morning and one-afternoon session to create a personalized learning experience.

What to Expect:

  • Hands-on sessions designed to help experienced AI users refine their skills and apply AI in innovative ways.
  • Topics will include AI-driven business applications, creative AI tools, automation strategies, and AI integrations with common platforms.
  • The full session topics and instructors list will be announced by April 1, 2025.

Limited Availability: Each session is capped at 35 participants, so early registration is encouraged to secure your preferred path.
