Title: Critical AI in Education Pathways: Empowering Educators to Navigate AI Literacy, Ethics, and Pedagogical Practices

Abstract: The rapid rise of artificial intelligence in education presents both opportunities for innovation and pressing concerns around ethics, equity, and pedagogical practice. This seminar presents our design-based research on the Critical AI in Education Pathways Framework, developed to support educators in navigating the pedagogical, ethical, and professional landscape of AI. Drawing from co-design workshops, curriculum prototyping, and case studies in both K–12 and higher education contexts, our work demonstrates how critical and human-centered perspectives can inform AI integration in educational settings. Participants will gain insights into empirical findings and curriculum prototypes generated through this work, offering concrete strategies for embedding AI literacy, ethics, and pedagogical practices into teaching and professional learning environments.
